Which Beatles songs does Peelty use?

Peelty uses songs officially released in the UK from “Love Me Do” on 5 October 1962 through the Let It Be album on 8 May 1970.

We use the original British release history rather than American albums.

An Album song is a song whose first qualifying UK release was on an original Beatles UK album.

A Non-album song is a song whose first qualifying UK release was outside an original Beatles UK album, normally as a single or EP.

If a single and album were released on the same day, classify the song as Album.

Compilation albums are not treated as Beatles albums for Peelty.

Magical Mystery Tour is treated as the original UK double EP, not the later US album.

Examples:

  • Get Back = Non-album because it was first released as a UK single before Let It Be.
  • Help! = Non-album because the single was released before the Help! album.
  • Ticket to Ride = Non-album because the single was released before the Help! album.
  • Let It Be = Non-album because the single was released before the Let It Be album.
